The Department of Native Hawaiian Health contributes to community engagement through an extensive 32-member community coalition called the Ulu Network. The Ulu Network organizations include all federally qualified community health centers in Hawaiʻi, Native Hawaiian Health Care Systems, community hospitals, Hawaiian Homestead communities, educational organizations, and others. Through the Ulu Network, members can engage in collaboration and dissemination of innovative health discoveries and participate in health and research training on key chronic diseases.
