The Department of Native Hawaiian Health is one of the medical education and research leaders actively working to address and reverse health disparities among Native Hawaiians, Pacific Island Peoples, and other at-risk populations in Hawaiʻi.

Our scholarly work in medication education for populations underrepresented in the health professions includes our pathway and cultural competency programs. Our published health disparities research includes epidemiological studies, behavioral interventions, clinical trials, community-based participatory research (CBPR), patient-centered outcome studies, and epigenomic studies that examine disease mechanisms. Our search feature (on the right) will allow you to filter the articles by year.
