Born on Kauaʻi and raised in Kealakekua-Kona, Sachi is a proud graduate of Konawaena High School.  She received her Master of Science in Higher Education Administration from Colorado State University in 2003 and has been with JABSOM since 2004.

As Faculty for Nā ʻŌpio o Nānākuli, her Kona upbringing is the foundation of her work teaching first-year JABSOM students in community health and nurturing Nānākuli haumāna to college.  As Student Development Coordinator for NHCOE, she also helps Native Hawaiian JABSOM students progress through medical school with academic support and coordinating cultural activities.

Her other kuleana and JABSOM service includes: legislative liaison for NHCOE, faculty publications assistance, and conducts interviews for JABSOM candidates.
