Abstract
Limited research on Hawaiian health indicates that Native Hawaiians have higher morbidity and mortality rates compared to other races in the state. While public health reports outside Hawaii rarely disaggregate the Asian and Pacific Islander American groups, even within the state, few disaggregate full and part Hawaiians. As Hawaii is the only native home for the Hawaiian race and culture, the status of full Hawaiians is of global interest.
